The project 24-month project was financed by the Interreg Europe Program and aimed to improve policies for waste management at the European level and to promote the use of smart devices to reduce the number of non-compliant waste depots.
APOPSI ROMANIA supported the two Romanian partners i.e., Drobeta Turnu Severin City Hall and the County Council Mehedinti by offering the following services:
- Project coordination and technical / financial reporting of project activities
- Technical consultancy for the successful preparation of monitoring, verification and control visits by authorized bodies
- support in the preparation of materials and the organization of project meetings held in the Mehedinți county
- monitoring of the partners’ activities compliance with the rules regarding the visibility of the project according to the provisions of the contract, the implementation guide or requested by the project partner responsible for the project communication
- participation in the preparation of monitoring, verification and control visits by authorized bodies.
- Assistance and consultancy for the preparation of studies and scientific reports
- Implementation of a study on waste management in the Mehedinti territorial area.
